Reversible and irreversible processes. Second law of thermodynamics. Heat engines and refrigerators, carnot cycle. Modes of heat transfer, steady heat conduction, Newton’s law of cooling. Composite wall and electrical analog, heat flow through cylinders, and a spheres, Forced and natural convection. Heat exchangers
