Elective I-Supply Chain Managment

This module is designed to enable students to create value for customers in a world of excess capacity and high expectations demand. Fundamental models, quantitative & Qualitative analysis for strategic business plan, demand forecasting, production & service planning, inventory control, supplier relationship development, procurement, production scheduling, logistics, tracking & customs clearance, warehousing and distribution network. Understanding the role of Total Quality Management (TQM) and Lean Manufacturing Techniques (LMT) to produce high-performance operations. Business modularization and Enterprise Resource Plan (ERP) to facilitate global manufacturing. Practice in process design is gained by participation in a team project of an actual industrial case-study using computer-aided Value Stream Mapping technique and practicing the Beer Game Theory.
