Human Computer Interaction (CS484)
This module introduces the field of human computer interaction with emphasis on its impact on software design. It provides the student with theories and models of the way users think and work to guide the students to best design the interface to suite users’ preferences. It provides an understanding of the underlying processes of human perception, information processing, and demonstrates their relevance to user interface design. Students will learn how to apply mechanisms such as feedback, user support, navigation aids and good screen design in constructing interface designs that match users' needs. Students will also learn techniques for evaluating user interface designs that are grounded in theory.

Immunology
The
aim of this course is to
provide sufficient knowledge about the types of Immunity and the differences
between them (Innate and Acquired Immunities) and to highlight the differences
between cellular and humoral immunity. The course also aims at explaining the
immune response to different types of antigens as well as illustrating the
function of different immunoglobulins. The course provides knowledge regarding
the complement system and its different pathways involved in immune response.
The course also explains the differences between hypersensitivity and
autoimmunity and clarifies the
different applications of Immuno-informatics.
Immunology and Vaccinology (PHM221)
This module aims at providing the students with basic knowledge of the human immune system and the underlying molecular and cellular mechanisms of immune functions in health and disease conditions such as infectious diseases and tumors, in addition to their consequences for immunization and immunological memory. The module discusses the basis of vaccinology, the science field aiming for the prevention and/or treatment of pathologies of infectious or noninfectious (allergy, cancer, others) origin.
Industrial Electronics (ECE4334/ECE4534)
This module is designed to provide students with the necessary practical skills to design and build electronic projects, to improve his/her practical background in control systems, to use engineering software as MATLAB and SIMULINK, and to strengthen his/her practical skills in different electronics areas that might have been neglected and to improve his/her technical writing style. Lectures are designed according to the need of the projects.
