In this module, students will develop a critical appreciation of the basic concepts and techniques of marketing management and strategy with an emphasis on creating customer value and building customer relationships. The module aims to provide the students with the skills necessary for marketing decision-making through illustrating how various decision-making tools apply to actual business situations.

The principal aim of this course is to provide an understanding of the molecular mechanisms fundamental to the life processes. An understanding of the way in which reactions take place at the cellular level will then provide a background against which the changes due to disease can be viewed. This course enables the student to understand how micro-organisms live and infect human, how 

human respond to these infections in order to preserve health. The first part of the course presents 

basic microbial structure, function, Microbial Genetics, Principles of chemotherapy and drug resistance, 

The different methods of sterilization and disinfection in clinics .The second part presents mammalian 

host defences and the molecular basis of immunity. 

This course aims to introduce students to the realm of microbial genetics and its applications in the field of Biotechnology.  To this end, the course covers subjects such as Bacterial, Viral, Agrobacterium, and yeast Genetics and mutations. Additionally, the course also emphasizes the interconnection between the basic genetic characteristic of the studied microorganisms and how they were exploited in modern Biotechnology techniques.

• To understand the different methods used to analyze the huge amount of information that is being gathered about human gene sequences and genetic diseases.

1. What are the modern methods of the drug design;
2. How databases is used to model a pathways, cells, and diseases;
3. Mining methods to get the information about pathway or a disease by using databases;
4. Application of using modelling in drug design;
5. Different strategies of using RNA molecules in gene therapy;
6. The advantages, limitations, and dangers of using RNA in gene therapy;
7. Different strategies in the design of antiviral drugs, HIV will be used as model for testing these strategies;

This includes random variables and their distributions, mathematical expectation, point and confidence interval estimation, hypothesis testing, correlation, regression and engineering applications. To enhance the understanding of the basic functions, requirements, and food sources of nutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, vitamins, minerals, and water) and to apply basic nutrition concepts to food choices. General concepts of weight management are outlined. Vegetarian and Mediterranean diets are discussed with their health benefits and hazards. Also, the course aims at the identification of factors that affect dental health highlighting the relationship between dental disease and nutrition.
